Actors Lee Hee-joon and Park Hae-soo just proved their two-decade friendship shines just as bright off-screen.
The duo, who led ENA’s Monday–Tuesday drama scarecrow that wrapped on May 26, recently teamed up with global media platform Boldpage for a pictorial and interview.
In the released shots, the pair showed a warm, easy chemistry far from the show’s nail-biting tension. From weighty tailored suits to effortless casual looks, they pulled off every concept flawlessly and stole the spotlight.
During the interview, they showered each other with steadfast respect and support. Lee Hee-joon shared, "I’d love for us to keep working together even in our 60s and 70s," while Park Hae-soo agreed, saying, "If we can keep playing many different roles together for a long time, without prejudice, that would be a blessing."
They also opened up about first impressions. Recalling their Daehak-ro theater days, Park Hae-soo praised, "When I first saw Lee Hee-joon on stage back then, his command of the stage was incredible." Lee Hee-joon returned the love, saying Park is "someone who constantly makes me marvel as an actor."
The two candidly discussed the heavy pressure they felt preparing for scarecrow. Park Hae-soo said, "Because it’s based on a true story, I struggled with how to approach it." Lee Hee-joon advised him, "Don’t pretend. Let’s drop the act and go in with sincerity." Park added that this single line from Lee gave him tremendous strength when he first joined scarecrow, expressing his gratitude.
Looking ahead, Lee Hee-joon and Park Hae-soo raised expectations for their next move, sharing their wish to "meet again in a comedy" someday.
