Former Jewelry member and singer Seo In-young revealed the behind-the-scenes story of a past swimsuit pictorial.
Recently, her YouTube channel posted a Shorts video showing the making of a new pictorial. In the clip, Seo In-young returned to a fashion shoot after a long time and reminisced about her magazine pictorial days.
"It’s been ages since I did a pictorial," she said, visibly excited. When a staff member asked, "Can our unni be the cover model?", Seo In-young joked, "Make me the cover model," drawing laughs.
Recalling her time as a fashion magazine cover model in 2009, she said, "I was young back then." Thinking back to a swimsuit pictorial she shot in 2008, Seo In-young added, "I got paid a lot."
The concept at the time was very bold. "The swimsuit had a deep cut from the panty line up to the chest," she recalled of the striking outfit. She also surprised everyone by revealing, "I handed all that money to my managers because they wanted to go out drinking."
Her trademark candid banter continued during this shoot as well. When the editor described the concept as a 'gentle woman' and said, "A cool vibe with a bit of skin would be nice," Seo In-young quipped, "Do I have to show my chest?"
She added a dose of humor by admitting she ate pork belly the night before: "If I’d known, I wouldn’t have eaten kimbap or fish cake either."
Seo In-young then delivered a striking look by pairing a tuxedo jacket with a slinky white shirt and black lingerie. Even though it had been a while since her last fashion pictorial, she pulled off the bold concept in her own style, proving her enduring presence.
