Shocking controversy: ZEROBASEONE member Park Gunwook has issued a formal apology after fans accused him of rigging a raffle during a recent in-person fansign event.

On the 5th, Park posted a long message on a fan communication platform, expressing regret and taking responsibility for his actions.

He wrote, "I want to sincerely apologize for my behavior at the recent fansign. I should have judged the situation and acted with far more caution, but I failed to do so," adding, "I take seriously that my actions caused confusion and hurt to many people."

He continued, "From now on, I will act more carefully and sincerely reflect so I can grow into someone who will not betray the trust ZEROSE (the official fandom name) gives me."

The controversy erupted during a Polaroid photo giveaway held at the face-to-face fansign. Fan-shot videos appeared to show Park calling out a number that did not match the winning ticket. As the clip spread rapidly across online communities and social media, some fans alleged he had intentionally changed the winner to favor a particular fan.

Fans reacted with backlash, saying, "He does not even specify what exactly he is apologizing for," "Doing that right in front of fans?", and "Do they think fans are stupid?"

Meanwhile, ZEROBASEONE is a project group formed through the Mnet audition program Boys Planet. They debuted in the K-pop scene on July 10, 2023, with their first mini album 'YOUTH IN THE SHADE'.
