Singer-actor Ok Jin-wook has signed an exclusive contract with YY Entertainment, home to in-demand actors, signaling a major new chapter in his career.
On the 8th, YY Entertainment announced, "We’re delighted to be working with Ok Jin-wook, who has proven his limitless potential across multiple fields," confirming the exclusive deal. The agency added, "We will spare no effort in fully supporting him so he can showcase his abilities across various areas."
Ok Jin-wook first made a strong impression on the public through TV Chosun’s Mr. Trot in 2020. He then promoted as a member of the project group 'Daseotjang,' formed on an MBC variety program, proving his standout vocals and all-around talent. Expanding into the small screen, he built solid acting chops through dramas like Be My Dream Family, Cherry Blossoms After Winter, and Running Mate.
His striking moves across stage and screen also drew attention. After a successful stage debut last year with the musical Gyeongseong Creature, he continued to connect with audiences in the musical Girlfriend, which wrapped to enthusiastic response on the 7th.
In particular, in Netflix’s original series Get Schooled, which dropped on the 5th and is making global waves, he perfectly portrayed Jo In-beom, the top school bully at a campus full of troublemakers, leaving a fierce impression.
Having conquered music, the stage, and a global OTT hit, the true all-rounder Ok Jin-wook is expected to create powerful synergy with his new agency.
Meanwhile, YY Entertainment is also home to Park Ji-hoon, Bae In-hyuk, and Bae Na-ra.
