Park Bom, formerly of 2NE1, is parting ways with her agency after eight years.

Recently, D-NATION Entertainment announced via its official social media accounts that, after thorough discussions with the artist, both parties have "mutually agreed" to end her exclusive contract.

Explaining the decision, the agency said, "Park Bom has been focusing on recovery and rest for her health," adding, "We made this decision out of respect for the artist's stability and the direction of her future activities." The company continued, "During her time with D-NATION Entertainment, Park Bom carried out meaningful promotions as a solo artist," and expressed, "We are deeply grateful for the time we shared and for Park Bom's efforts."

The agency added, "Although the exclusive contract has ended, we will sincerely support Park Bom's healthy path and new beginning going forward."

Park Bom temporarily halted activities last August due to health reasons. At the time, the agency stated that "Park Bom was in an emotionally unstable state" and "needed treatment and sufficient rest." Since then, she has focused on recovery, and after discussions, both sides decided to conclude the exclusive contract. During her hiatus, Park Bom also posted several sudden remarks on social media, which left fans worried.

Debuting with 2NE1 in 2009, Park Bom earned massive love with a string of hits. As a soloist, she showcased a one-of-a-kind tone and powerful vocals.

Having recently connected with fans through both full-group 2NE1 moments and solo activities, all eyes are now on what fresh start Park Bom will pursue after leaving her agency.
