After facing a wave of debate over her airport demeanor, IVE member Jang Wonyoung has shared a calm update on her recent whereabouts.
On the 7th, Jang Wonyoung posted multiple photos to her Instagram with captions referencing a rainy day, an umbrella, and a gray heart. In the photos, she takes a mirror selfie in a relaxed outfit: a white top, a brown cardigan, and wide-leg denim pants.
She’s also seen walking through rainy streets under a clear umbrella, dressed in a leather jacket and skirt. Though the shots capture ordinary moments, her refined aura and striking features make the images look straight out of a pictorial.
The post drew extra attention because it arrived right after the online controversy over her airport behavior. Without issuing a separate statement, Jang Wonyoung kept it business as usual, sharing photos and engaging with fans as she normally does.
Previously, on May 30, Jang Wonyoung departed through Gimpo International Airport with her IVE members for a schedule in Shanghai, China. A short clip from the scene spread online and sparked heated debate.
Some netizens criticized moments such as her crossing her arms during departure inspection and seemingly receiving her passport with one hand, claiming her “attitude looked insincere.” Others countered that “it’s hard to judge the entire situation from a short video” and urged people to avoid excessive speculation.
As additional footage from different angles surfaced, rebuttals claimed it showed Jang Wonyoung handing her passport to an airport staffer with both hands and complying with an ID check, keeping the discourse divided.
