Shocking similarity claims are spreading as Hearts2Hearts ramps up promo for their second mini album 'Lemon Tang'—with some fans saying the concept looks a lot like CRAVITY's.
On June 8, SM Entertainment dropped the 'Lemon Tang' trailer. The 3-minute-12-second clip shows a whimsical world where, after a lemon sun rises, a 'Lemon Tang' phenomenon unfolds and the Hearts2Hearts members encounter a giant lemon falling from the sky.
While many fans praised it as "memorable," "movie-level," and said the members looked "so cute," others argued it felt similar to CRAVITY's November 2023 release 'Lemonade Fever.'
Pointing to details like lemons dropping from the sky and lemons with eyes, some fans called out the conceptual overlap. Reactions included: "'Lemon Tang' and 'Lemonade Fever' look alike," "Isn't the concept way too similar?" and "Can a big company get away with this?"
Adding fuel to the debate, SM's girl group aespa also released their second full-length album 'LEMONADE' in May. Online comments noted, "aespa used lemon, and now Hearts2Hearts too?" and "Why keep pushing the lemon theme?"
Hearts2Hearts' 'Lemon Tang' is slated for release on the 22nd.
