Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA, delivers a frank talk about life, success, and failure on the tvN variety show You Quiz on the Block.
Huang appears on You Quiz on the Block airing on the 10th, marking his first-ever appearance on a variety show at home or abroad.
On the show, he shares his journey from immigrating to the United States at age nine and washing dishes at a restaurant, to building NVIDIA into a key company of the global AI era.
He even reveals a make-or-break moment when NVIDIA had just 30 days left before bankruptcy. Explaining how he survived the brink and turned setbacks into stepping stones, he underscores his philosophy: "Failure is growth."
Huang also talks about his special connection with Korea, recalling how he once went door to door at Seoul’s Yongsan Electronics Market handing out business cards, and how NVIDIA grew alongside the Korean market.
He answers video questions from past guests, offering advice on everything from losing one’s entire fortune in the stock market to the kind of talent needed in the AI age, stressing, "Whatever you do, give 100%."
The episode also covers his recent, much-discussed meetings with leaders of top Korean companies during his visit to Korea. He even plays a "balance game," picking who he’s closest to among Samsung Electronics Executive Chairman Lee Jae-yong, Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Chung Euisun, and SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, teasing plenty of laughs.
His human side shines through as well. Huang shares how he approached his future wife in college under the pretext of homework, and he professes his love for K-pop—especially singer Hwasa. He even shows off dance moves to 'Golden,' the OST of the Netflix animated film 'K-Pop Demon Hunters.'
His chemistry with Yoo Jae-suk also stands out. Huang nicknames him "MC Champion," while Yoo warmly calls Huang "hyungnim" (a respectful "big brother" in Korean), showing instant rapport.
Catch the story of a global AI leader whose unexpected variety-show flair and love for Korea and K-pop are set to captivate viewers, when the episode airs at 8:45 p.m. today.
