As actor Jung Kyung-ho and Girls' Generation member and actress Sooyoung have broken up, past "drawing the line" remarks surrounding them are going viral.
On the 9th, agencies for Sooyoung and Jung Kyung-ho confirmed their breakup, sparking headlines. In the wake of the news, a moment from last December's drama pro bono press conference has resurfaced, where Jung looked flustered when asked about marriage.
At the time, when MC Park Kyung-lim asked, "Isn't Kang Da-wit (Jung Kyung-ho's character) an issue-maker? Anything to announce?" Jung replied, "No." Since Jung had been in a long-term relationship with Sooyoung, many took it as a roundabout question about a wedding date, but Jung waved it off, saying, "What date? Don't talk nonsense."
That wasn't the only hint that the couple's vibe had shifted.
After Girls' Generation member Tiffany recently married actor Byun Yo-hwan, attention also turned to longtime couple Sooyoung and Jung Kyung-ho. In May, Hyoyeon appeared on tvN's You Quiz on the Block and said, "Honestly, it should've happened already. I'm grateful Tiffany went first," adding, "I'm the next one," effectively declaring she'd be Girls' Generation's second married member.
With their breakup now official, those remarks are drawing even more attention.
