Shaking up K-Drama buzz, Choi Hyun-wook’s next project is already trending — not just for the story, but for a surprising connection fans can’t stop talking about.

On the 16th, Netflix unveiled character profiles and a colorful ensemble of stills for its original series Notes From the Last Row. Among them, the two-shot of Choi Hyun-wook and GHOST9 member-turned-actor Lee Jin-woo drew the strongest reaction from prospective viewers.

In the drama, Choi plays Lee Kang, while Lee Jin-woo takes on Kim Se-yoon — a college classmate with a completely different vibe. The newly released stills capture a charged tension and striking visual contrast between the two, supercharging curiosity about how their relationship will unfold.

Right after the stills dropped, online communities and fans immediately brought up actor Park Ji-hoon — who delivered flawless bromance chemistry with Choi in Wavve’s original Weak Hero Class 1. The reason? A distinctive trait Park Ji-hoon and Lee Jin-woo share.

Park Ji-hoon rose to fame through Mnet’s 2017 survival show Produce 101 Season 2, while Lee Jin-woo also won major love on 2019’s Produce X 101. Seeing Choi Hyun-wook repeatedly team up with stars from the Produce series, fans are joking, “Is Choi Hyun-wook actually a ‘Produce collector’?” and proclaiming, “This chemistry is guaranteed.”

Adding intrigue with this unexpected parallel, Notes From the Last Row premieres worldwide exclusively on Netflix at 5 p.m. KST on the 26th.
