BOYNEXTDOOR is producing a new cheer song for KBO professional baseball team LG Twins.
On the 23rd, the LG Twins announced a collaboration with BOYNEXTDOOR to create a brand-new team cheer song.
The project aims to push the club's energetic and friendly cheering culture even further.
The collab began thanks to the connection between BOYNEXTDOOR member Myung Jaehyun and LG Twins catcher Lee Jooheon. The two are alumni of Seongnam Middle School and Seongnam High School, and during the LG Twins' championship run last year, Jaehyun even sent Jooheon a personal congratulatory message, revealing their close friendship.
Jaehyun said, "As a fan of the LG Twins, I watch every game. I'm thrilled and excited that our music will become a cheer song for a team I love."
For this collaboration, BOYNEXTDOOR plans to rewrite the lyrics of the title track 'VIRAL' from their first full-length album 'HOME' and transform it into a cheer song. The members will directly take part in the lyric rewrite and also create a cheer choreography.
LG Twins and BOYNEXTDOOR's new cheer song will be unveiled at 2 p.m. on the 23rd via the LG Twins' official social media accounts.
