In a first for the show, the '2026 Melon Music Awards' (The 18th Melon Music Awards, hereafter MMA2026) will run across two days.
On June 9, music platform Melon announced that 'MMA2026' will be held on November 14–15 at Seoul's Gocheok Sky Dome.
This is the first time the Melon Music Awards will take place over two days. Organizers said the move is designed to turn the show into K-pop's biggest festival, where even more artists and fans can enjoy the experience together.
This year's core keyword is "Connect," with the main slogan "K-POP CONNECT: The New Pulse." The slogan conveys the idea that fans around the world come together through K-pop beyond time and space, and that the Melon Music Awards will serve as a new starting point for musical momentum for artists and their global fandoms.
Notably, this year's 'MMA2026' will link some award categories with the 'Global-K Chart,' which launched on the 1st of this month, drawing extra attention from listeners.
