Shocking and viral: Actor Yoon Kyung-ho will host a vow-of-silence fan signing to honor his ratings pledge for the SBS drama Agent Kim Reactivated — fans can talk, but the star must stay completely quiet.
On the 8th, the official SBS Drama social accounts announced: ''Agent Kim Reactivated' Invite Event. Yoon Kyung-ho Fulfills Ratings Pledge: Vow-of-Silence Fansign.' According to the post, Yoon will meet fans at a signing on the 13th at 4 p.m. KST at the SBS Broadcasting Center in Mok-dong.
The event is part of fulfilling his '13-hour vow of silence' pledge. The twist: while fans may speak freely, Yoon Kyung-ho cannot utter a word for the entire session. SBS added, "We invite viewers to witness Yoon Kyung-ho quietly keeping his promise," drawing laughs.
The silent pledge began at the drama's press conference. Yoon said, "Even 10% would be a hit, but since So Ji-sub is returning to SBS after 13 years, we'll aim for 13%." When Joo Sang-wook suggested a vow of silence if they hit the target, Yoon replied, "Not for 13 days, but for 13 hours."
The promise became reality faster than expected. Agent Kim Reactivated premiered with 9.5% (Nielsen Korea), then episode 2 surged past 15.7%. Episodes 3 and 4 jumped to 18.8% and 21.6%, respectively, continuing a blistering rise.
Yoon shared, "Honestly, I'd start right now — I'd love to spend 13 hours in silence to show my gratitude." A teaser video for the vow-of-silence challenge then dropped, spiking anticipation for the pledge to be carried out.
