Shocking reunion confirmed: Song Joong-ki and Park Ji-hyun are teaming up again after four years in KBS2’s new weekend drama Love Cloud.
On the 9th, the production of KBS2’s upcoming Sat-Sun series Love Cloud announced the casting of the two stars.
Song Joong-ki will play Kang Woo-joo, an air traffic controller and former flight instructor. He’s a quick-thinking, top-tier professional who, off duty, unwinds by watching the clouds — a surprising contrast to his razor-sharp work persona. His calm routine is upended when he reunites with his ex, Ahn Ha-ni, setting off unexpected changes.
“When I first read the script, I was instantly drawn to the idea that Ahn Ha-ni’s emotions are connected to the clouds,” he said. “I’m thrilled to work with Park Ji-hyun again, and I’m confident we’ll deliver great synergy this time too.”
Park Ji-hyun transforms into Ahn Ha-ni, a pilot cursed so that the weather shifts with her emotions. Focused on a promotion, she’s hit by a shocking incident that makes her realize her feelings are literally tied to the weather. Reuniting with Kang Woo-joo stirs up long-buried emotions. “I laughed, cried, and was completely immersed while reading — I couldn’t let go of the tension,” she shared. “I’m happy to join Love Cloud. I’ll do my best to grow with Ahn Ha-ni and deliver a feel-good flutter to viewers.”
Fans reacted quickly: “Their chemistry in Reborn Rich was amazing,” “Weren’t they in-laws in the last drama?” and more comments flooded online communities.
Meanwhile, the new romantic comedy Love Cloud tells the story of air traffic controller Kang Woo-joo, who can see his ex’s emotions as weather, and pilot Ahn Ha-ni, who literally manipulates the weather — and it’s slated to air in 2027.
