Shocking duality: Gong Hyo-jin returns to the small screen as both a deadly killer and a devoted working mom.

On the 9th, MBC's new Friday–Saturday drama Married Woman Killer dropped its first teaser.

The teaser opens with Yoo Bo-na (played by Gong Hyo-jin) taking aim at a target from a rooftop. The moment she pulls the trigger, the bullet subdues the mark in a flash. Her unshakable judgment and icy charisma leave a fierce impression of the masked enforcer known as Kingfisher.

The tension quickly flips to her home life. Back with her family, Bo-na readies clothes for her husband, Kwon Tae-sung (Jung Jun-won), and plays wholeheartedly with her daughter, Kwon Yul (Hwang Bom-i) — a warm, doting mom that’s the total opposite of what came before. In front of her mother-in-law, Ok Sun-ja (Cha Mi-kyung), she awkwardly chuckles while holding a kitchen knife, saying, "I haven’t really used this for, uh, that kind of purpose," hinting at her bumpy in-law adjustment. Then, when she casually snatches a tossed apple with one hand, her killer instincts peek through — adding a sly laugh.

In the final cut, Bo-na declares, "Client meeting starts now," as she grips her sniper rifle once more — signaling another mission to protect her family and cranking up anticipation for the premiere.

Viewers reacted, saying, "Can’t wait to see killer Gong Hyo-jin," and "It’s her first time tackling this kind of genre — hope it’s a hit," among other comments.

Based on the webtoon of the same name, Married Woman Killer follows a 'working mom' with the most lethal day job as she fiercely defends her work-life balance. The series premieres on the 31st and will also be available on Wavve.
