Ji Sung just kicked off a jaw-dropping acting masterclass.
According to ratings tracker Nielsen Korea on the 13th, the JTBC Sat-Sun drama Apartment logged a 5.4% nationwide rating with its latest episode.
In Episode 2 of Apartment, Park Hae-kang (played by Ji Sung) and Kang Hari (played by Ha Yoon-kyung) joined forces as a fake family to take a group portrait. Though strictly a business arrangement, they looked every bit like an elite chaebol family, instantly drawing attention.
Park Hae-kang, a former boss, anchored the group with weighty charisma and a razor-sharp edge, while Kang Hari, in a neat two-piece outfit and long wavy hair, exuded the aura of a poised wife — together flaunting flawless couple chemistry.
Lizard (played by Kim Won-hae), sporting a red beret and suspenders, joined as the fashionista grandpa, and Kim Gyeong-nam (played by Jung Soon-won) took on the role of the dependable eldest brother with a warm expression. Then Keundungi (played by Kim Gyu-won) added unexpected youngest-child charm with a soft eye-smile, and, standing between Park Hae-kang and Kang Hari, Kim Gyeong-buk (played by Kim Han-gyeol) held his cheeks cutely and sent an adorable wink.
After the broadcast, viewers reacted with heat online: "They really know how to pick scripts," "There isn’t a single weak link in the acting," and "If Ji Sung is in it, it’s a must-watch."
Meanwhile, Apartment airs every Saturday at 10:40 p.m. and Sunday at 10:30 p.m. It is also available to stream on Netflix and TVING.
