Ji Ye-eun's side acknowledged the romance, saying they are "meeting with good feelings," but speculative posts are now spreading about when exactly the relationship began.
After the dating news first broke on the 13th, Ji Ye-eun's agency CP Entertainment stated that "the two were colleagues who developed into lovers." The initial report also claimed they grew close after attending the same church. While the relationship confirmation came quickly, public curiosity immediately shifted to "since when were they close?"
What's circulating again are eyewitness-style posts uploaded to communities since last year. They claimed the two often stuck together due to church and choreography work, speculated that Vata appeared interested in Ji Ye-eun, and predicted the pair might eventually become a couple. After the romance went official, these posts were revived like "prophetic" threads and went viral.
However, some posts made even more sensitive claims, such as: "Did Vata have feelings for Ji Ye-eun while he still had a longtime girlfriend?" and "Did the timelines of the previous relationship and the new one overlap?"—fueling so-called "switching" allegations.
