BLACKPINK’s music video for ‘Ice Cream’ has officially crossed the 1 billion view mark on YouTube.

According to YG Entertainment on the 16th, BLACKPINK’s ‘Ice Cream’ MV surpassed 1 billion views on YouTube at around 4:12 p.m. the previous day.

This marks the group’s 10th video to hit 1 billion views — the most for any K-pop artist.

‘Ice Cream’ is a pop track defined by its simple rhythm and upbeat sound, with the members trying a cute concept for the first time and turning heads. Their collaboration with pop star Selena Gomez further expanded their global fandom and musical spectrum.

BLACKPINK’s first full-length album ‘The Album,’ which includes the song, peaked at No. 2 on both the Billboard 200 and the UK Official Albums Chart, setting a new record at the time for K-pop girl groups, and remained on the charts for 10 and 7 consecutive weeks, respectively.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK has released a total of 50 videos with over 100 million views each. Their official YouTube channel was the first among all artists worldwide to surpass 100 million subscribers, and the cumulative view count has exceeded 4.17 billion.
