At the April 20 online press conference for tvN’s new Sat–Sun drama Filing for Love, actor Shin Hye-sun revealed she had been eager to take on a brighter, lighter project—signaling her rom-com comeback after The Art of Sarah.

The event featured director Lee Soo-hyun alongside Shin Hye-sun, Gong Myung, Kim Jae-wook, and Hong Hwa-yeon.

Shin said, "I loved my previous work The Art of Sarah, but it was so dark that there were things I wanted to shake off both professionally and personally. I wanted to do a drama that felt bright and light, and the timing worked out perfectly because I wrapped The Art of Sarah and went straight into filming Filing for Love."

Speaking about her character, In-a, she added, "She’s the chief auditor, but inside she has a gentle, vulnerable side. Also, because so much of what In-a says is right, I personally found myself thinking, ‘If she’s just speaking the truth, why do people call her bad or say she’s ruthless?’" Her comments showed just how immersed she is in the role.

Filing for Love follows charismatic chief auditor In-a, who guards a secret, and Gi-jun (played by Gong Myung), the Audit Office ace who’s suddenly demoted to the in-house misconduct (PM) crackdown post—their high-tension, close-quarters audit-office romance unfolds from there.

Meanwhile, Filing for Love airs as the follow-up to Mad Concrete Dreams and will premiere on Saturday, April 25 at 9:10 p.m.
