BLACKPINK member Jisoo’s agency has issued an official statement regarding family-related rumors spreading online and announced plans for legal action.

On the 20th, attorney Eun Hyun-ho of Kim & Chang, the legal representative for Jisoo’s agency BLISSOO, stated that some media reports and online posts were recklessly linking the artist and the company to an unrelated family issue and spreading false claims.

The controversy emerged after reports that a man identified as the older brother of a famous idol had been arrested on suspicion of molesting a female livestreamer. Speculation quickly spread online that the person in question was Jisoo’s older brother. Claims posted by the man’s spouse regarding alleged domestic violence further intensified public attention.

Jisoo’s side stated that the matters being raised have no connection to Jisoo or BLISSOO, and emphasized that much of the information circulating online consists of unverified speculation or false claims.

The agency also denied claims that Jisoo’s family was involved in the company’s operations. It explained that while family members may have provided limited support in the early stages of the company’s establishment, no family member has received a salary or participated in management decisions, and the company continues to operate independently.

The agency added that it will immediately pursue possible civil and criminal measures against those who create or distribute false information, and stated that there will be no leniency or settlements in cases of repeated or malicious defamation.

Jisoo debuted with BLACKPINK in 2016 and established her label BLISSOO in 2024 while continuing both group and solo activities.
