Actress Jang Da Ah — widely known as IVE star Jang Wonyoung’s sister — is set to appear in the film Cherry boy. Fresh off the buzzy momentum of Salmokji, Jang is fueling major hype for what’s next.

Cherry boy is a romance film about Ok-hee, a high school girl in rural Gangwon Province who secretly writes adult fiction to save money so she can attend college in Seoul. After transfer student Ri-hwan arrives from Seoul, she experiences the rush of first love. In the film, Lee Jae-in plays Ok-hee, capturing youth’s raw emotions in vivid layers, while Kim Moo-joon takes on the role of Ri-hwan.

Jang Da Ah also joins the cast, turning heads as Jeong-suk — Ok-hee’s best friend, a striking beauty dreaming of debuting as an entertainer — and showing off her lively charm.

Meanwhile, Jang Da Ah has surged into the spotlight with Salmokji, which has been holding the No. 1 spot at the box office and drawing major attention. Directed by Lee Myung-se, the film is a horror feature set around a reservoir salmokji, and it is rookie director Lee Sang-min’s second feature-length film. Actress Kim Hye-yoon leads as the protagonist, Su-in, and the movie is gaining popularity among audiences.
