Actor Go Soo sparks buzz with a surprisingly self-deprecating take on his visuals and an unexpected love for certain foods.
On the April 26 broadcast of JTBC’s variety show Please Take Care of My Refrigerator, Go Soo and Lee Jong-hyuk appear as guests and reveal what’s inside their fridges.
A longtime fan of the program, Go Soo can’t hide his excitement, saying, "It’s such an honor to be here, it feels like a dream." He adds, "I’m worried my fridge is a bit bare, but I’m excited to see what happens."
The studio instantly buzzes the moment Go Soo walks in. Lee Jong-hyuk gushes, "Seeing you up close makes my heart flutter," while MC Kim Sung-joo praises him as having "visuals like the Statue of David." Even the chefs marvel, asking, "How can someone look like that?"
But Go Soo flips the script with an unexpected confession. "Compliments about me being handsome feel like just polite small talk," he says, adding, "I have to take 500 selfies to get one decent shot," sending the set into laughter. When his past photos are shown, the cast can’t help but gasp all over again.
Another twist comes when his fridge is revealed. After expired items are found, Go Soo nonchalantly comments, "Some expired things are still edible," leaving the chefs flustered. When ice cream shows up in the freezer, he beams with a boyish smile: "I really love ice cream." Asked by Ahn Jung-hwan, "Aren’t you watching your body?" Go Soo fires back, "Snacks burn off quickly, don’t they?" drawing big laughs.
