Singer Baek Ji-young has issued an apology after sparking controversy for using a Coupang Fresh Bag — a reusable insulated delivery bag that must be returned — in a YouTube camping video.
On April 13, Baek posted a pinned comment under the camping content, saying, “I apologize for causing concern by taking a Coupang Fresh Bag outside and using it.” She added, “We showed the wrong example out of ignorance and deeply empathize with the feedback you gave us.”
The issue stemmed from a camping vlog released on April 12. In the video, Baek Ji-young heads out camping with her husband, Jung Suk-won, and is seen taking and using a Coupang Fresh Bag — a cold-storage bag for fresh-food deliveries — outside her home. Because the bag is a multi-use item that is supposed to be collected after delivery, viewers criticized its use for personal purposes as inappropriate.
Baek’s side responded immediately, stating, “We have deleted the scene in question and completed a re-edit,” and promised to be more careful: “We will be much more attentive in the content production process going forward.”
Baek Ji-young currently runs a YouTube channel with Jung Suk-won, where they share everyday-life content.
