Former WINNER member Song Min-ho’s first trial over alleged violations of the Military Service Act is scheduled for next week.
According to legal insiders on the 18th, the Seoul Western District Court’s Criminal Division 10 will hold its first hearing on the 21st for Song Min-ho and his duty supervisor, identified as Mr. A, on charges of violating the Military Service Act.
Prosecutors allege that from March 2023 to December 2024, while serving as a social service agent, Song was absent from duty for 102 days without authorization — approximately a quarter of the 430 mandatory reporting days. His supervisor has also been indicted for allegedly failing to exercise proper oversight despite being aware of the absenteeism.
The court initially set the first hearing for March 24, but it was later rescheduled to the 21st after Song’s legal representatives requested a change of date.
Song debuted with BoM in 2011 and re-debuted as a member of WINNER in 2014. He later gained wider recognition as the runner-up on Mnet’s Show Me the Money 4 in 2015 and has appeared on variety programs such as tvN’s New Journey to the West.
