JTBC’s weekend drama ‘We Are All Trying Here’ has drawn strong early attention following its premiere, led by performances from Koo Kyo-hwan and Go Youn-jung.

The series, which premiered on April 18, quickly gained traction within its first two episodes. Shortly after release, it ranked No. 1 on Netflix’s “Top 10 TV Shows in South Korea Today.” It also placed No. 2 in TV-OTT drama buzz rankings for the third week of April, according to Good Data Corporation’s FUNdex. In individual cast rankings, Koo Kyo-hwan placed No. 3 and Go Youn-jung No. 6.

A key factor behind the response is the script by Park Hae-young, known for dialogue that captures emotional tension in everyday life. Lines such as “Why does my life have to please you?” and “If I say nothing, I feel like I don’t even exist—how am I supposed to stay quiet?” have circulated widely among viewers.

The performances of the lead actors have also contributed to the show’s reception. Both portray characters dealing with personal struggles, and their delivery adds weight to the narrative’s themes.

‘We Are All Trying Here,’ also referred to as ‘Mojamussa,’ follows individuals confronting feelings of uncertainty and self-worth. The drama airs on JTBC every Saturday at 10:40 p.m. and Sunday at 10:30 p.m., and is also available for streaming on Netflix.
