Actress Lim Ji-yeon shocked fans by candidly admitting she regrets getting an eyeliner tattoo years ago — and she’s now planning to have it removed.

Recently, Urban Zakapa member Jo Hyun-ah’s YouTube channel uploaded a video featuring Lim Ji-yeon. While chatting about what she wants to do during her downtime, Lim confessed, "I want to remove my eyeliner tattoo."

Thinking back to when she was 20, Lim said, "I didn’t really know how to do makeup then, so I thought semi-permanent makeup would be convenient and got the procedure with a classmate. Eyeliner tattoos were trending at the time." But contrary to her expectations, the results lingered far longer than she hoped and still haven’t faded.

"They said it was semi-permanent, but it’s basically like a permanent tattoo. The color is way too dark," she said with a laugh, adding that it has caused inconveniences on set. In particular, historical dramas and certain character concepts required altering her eye line, which became a hassle.

As a result, Lim shared that she plans to remove the tattoo through a procedure. "I heard there’s significant swelling afterward, so I’ll need some time off. I kept postponing it because of filming schedules, but once this project wraps, I’m getting it done right away," she said.

She also shared that, once she has a break, she wants to try everything she’s been putting off — including learning ballet and traveling.

Meanwhile, Lim Ji-yeon will take on dual roles in the SBS drama Brave New World, which premieres on May 8.
