BLACKPINK member Lisa will take the stage at the opening ceremony of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
On the 8th (local time), sports outlet The Athletic and others reported that Lisa has signed a performance deal with FIFA.
This World Cup is co-hosted by Canada, the United States, and Mexico, which means there will be three opening ceremonies. Among them, Lisa is expected to perform at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles (LA) ahead of the United States–Paraguay match, alongside Katy Perry, Future, and DJ Sanjoy.
At the 2022 Qatar World Cup opening ceremony, BTS’s Jungkook performed and unveiled the official soundtrack song "Dreamers." Lisa is also expected not only to perform but to participate in the tournament’s official music. The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) has registered a track titled "Goals," listing Lisa, Anitta, Rema, and Tropkillaz as performers. The registration credits FIFA on the composition side.
Meanwhile, Lisa is a Thai-born member of BLACKPINK who debuted with the group in 2016 and has pursued solo activities in parallel.
