Actor Lee Shin-young sealed his status as a next-gen Hallyu star, creating warm spring memories with Japanese fans and leaving Tokyo buzzing.
On May 6 (local time), Lee met local fans at Tokyo Shinjuku FACE with his solo event, the '[Spring With You] Lee Shin-young Japan Fan Meeting 2026.'
Built around a romantic concept of delivering spring to Japanese fans, the event ran across two sessions and featured a packed program of songs, talks, and behind-the-scenes stories from his works.
Opening the show with John Park's 'In The Rain,' Lee instantly captivated the crowd with his honeyed vocals. During the talk segment, he shared recent highlights, including sweeping Rookie of the Year honors across the three major terrestrial networks with the 2025 MBC Drama Awards Rookie Award, as well as the re-release of the film Rebound. He especially thrilled the audience by revealing behind-the-scenes stories from Discovery Channel Japan's exclusive docu-variety Lee Shin-young Goes! Oishii Nippon.
He moved fans with a stage of Beomjin's 'Greeting,' and in the interactive skit corner 'The Heroine Is A Fan?!' he let fans play the opposite role as he reenacted signature moments from his filmography — from a 'soldier heading to the battlefield' to a 'student before a championship basketball game' — showcasing his full range as an actor.
With his nonstop streak across the big and small screens, Lee — who has already proven his potential — is set to make a daring transformation as 'Lu,' a member of a killer organization, in director Park Hoon-jung's upcoming film Tristes Tropiques.
