Actor Lee Jae-wook has enlisted in the Army to begin his mandatory service.

On the morning of the 18th, Lee entered an Army training center. After completing basic training, he will continue serving as an active-duty soldier.

On May 17, the day before enlistment, he told fans on Instagram, "I’ll stay healthy and do well," posting a shaved-head selfie as a farewell.

Fans reacted with comments like, "The soldier haircut looks great on him" and "The chestnut cut is cute," sending him enthusiastic support.

Even during his military hiatus, Lee’s projects won’t stop. He’ll meet viewers with works completed before enlistment. ENA’s new Monday–Tuesday drama Doctor On The Edge is set to premiere in June, and in the second half of the year, the Netflix series Dead-End Job will be released worldwide.

Lee debuted in 2018 with the tvN drama Memories of the Alhambra, and has since cemented his status as a leading actor with solid performances in hits like Search: WWW, Extraordinary You, and Alchemy of Souls.

Meanwhile, Lee, who has begun fulfilling his national defense duty, is expected to be discharged in November 2027.
