Shocking lineup: 24 fifth-gen boy group idols from Close Your Eyes, Ahop, Identity, and Flare U are heading to a retreat together to show a whole new side of themselves.

On the 1st, MBC M announced that a brand-new variety show, Idol Retreat, will premiere on July 8. The series is already drawing attention for featuring a massive roster of active fifth-generation K-pop boy groups.

Entertainers Boom and Jonathan will serve as mentors during the retreat, and fans are curious to see what kind of chemistry they will spark with the 24 idols.

Upon arriving at the training center, the members kick off with an entrance ceremony and a "24 Idols, 24 Styles" dance roll call to flaunt their skills. Close Your Eyes member Jang Yeo-jun, Ahop’s Cha Woong-gi, and Identity’s Kim Do-hoon reportedly faced off in an impromptu dance battle that set the venue on fire. During the competition, a so-called "idol-style fireplay dance" was born, cranking up the heat of the program.

The recreation segment continues with a spy-hunt deduction game. A fierce psychological battle unfolds as members trade suspicions and keep each other in check, boosting the show’s entertainment factor. In particular, Flare U’s Choi Rip-woo draws all eyes with suspicious behavior.

For the retreat’s highlight talent show, the idols prepare a wide range of stages, from rap, dance, and vocal covers to original choreography and short skits. The members share their determination, saying they practiced harder for Idol Retreat than for their comeback stages.

After broadcast, unreleased scenes not included in the episode will be available on the Miniverse app and website, while major clips will be uploaded to the Muniverse YouTube channel.

Meanwhile, Idol Retreat is set to premiere at 7 p.m. on July 8.
