Comedian Sung-kwang Park is under fire from baseball fans after remarks he made during a recent fandom broadcast went viral.
On the 19th, Park posted an apology on his Instagram, writing, "I sincerely apologize to everyone who felt uncomfortable because of the expressions and reactions I showed during the recent fandom broadcast."
The controversy erupted during the KIA Tigers vs. Samsung Lions game in the '2026 Shinhan SOL KBO League' hosted by TVING on the 16th, where Park appeared as part of the fandom commentary team. A well-known KIA Tigers fan, he made comments toward Samsung players such as, "Wow, do you guys want to win that badly?" After watching a home run, he added, "That was a fluke," and "If you watch the replay, you'll definitely be ashamed. Get out."
Clips spread quickly across social media and online communities, and netizens criticized him, saying, "We asked you to cheer for your own team, not belittle the other," and "Are the players your friends?"
Park responded, "As someone who loves baseball, I got too immersed in the game and wasn't careful enough with my words," bowing his head in apology.
Separately, Park married a non-celebrity who worked at a pharmaceutical company in August 2020.
