Shocking or overblown? Singer and actress Son Dam-bi moved quickly to address a "nuisance" controversy that erupted after she played with soap bubbles inside a rental stay with her daughter.
On the 6th, Son posted on her social media, "Many of you are worried about the soap bubbles, but I wiped the entire floor with a towel," along with a photo. After some netizens voiced concerns about the indoor bubble play at the lodging, she explained that she personally cleaned up.
Son had revealed that she went on a family trip to Sokcho the day before. With the caption "A child is an angel," she uploaded a video of spending time with her daughter inside the accommodation. The clip shows her daughter playing with an automatic bubble toy while Son watches on, smiling.
Although it was a heartwarming mother-daughter moment, some immediately questioned lodging etiquette. Critics argued that using soap bubbles indoors could "leave liquid on the floor," "make the floor slippery and dangerous," and that "consideration for the next guests" was needed.
In response, Son said she wiped the floor with a towel, aiming to put the controversy to rest.
Meanwhile, Son married former national speed skater Lee Kyu-hyuk in 2022 and later welcomed a daughter.
