After a cryptic social media post from comedian Park Sung-kwang’s wife, Lee Sol, sparked shocking divorce rumors, she stepped in to clarify the situation herself.

On the 30th of last month, Lee posted a video to her social media sharing her thoughts on relationships and love. The video opened with the line, "At thirty-nine, I have a past I want to erase."

Lee wrote, "I spent nights trying to convince someone with different values," adding, "There were days I tried to choose words that captured my feelings and force them into the other person’s heart." She continued, "Expecting someone else to fully understand the depths and twists of my feelings was a stubborn arrogance."

In particular, she wrote, "It’s fundamentally impossible — and only miraculously possible as an exception — for two people who have lived for decades in their own universes to fit together without any strain," adding, "I’m waiting for that exceptional miracle." She concluded, "Still, we make the mistake of embracing even the parts we can’t understand. We call that love."

While the post could read like a general reflection, phrases such as "a past I want to erase" and "someone with different values" drew attention and fueled speculation among some netizens about her relationship with her husband, Park Sung-kwang. As questions poured in — including "Did you two get divorced?" and "Is your relationship with your husband unstable?" — Lee replied, "No," denying the divorce rumors. When similar questions kept coming, she added, "I’m living well without regrets," and explained that "'a past I want to erase' was just a bit of hooking to unpack my thoughts." She also wrote, "Since so many people are worried, to clarify, please read the caption as well. I wrapped it up by saying that embracing those differences is love." Lee later deleted the post.
