Shocking push for trainee-ready basics: K-LAB’s ‘Global Casting Project (GCP) Vol.3’ has officially kicked off intensive fundamentals training in Korea, drawing aspiring K-pop stars from around the world.

According to K-LAB, GCP Vol.3, which opened on the 19th, wrapped orientation and skill assessments and has launched its exclusive curriculum designed to internalize micro-level details in vocals and dance.

The defining difference this round is a hard break from “copycat covers.” While K-pop cover dances and songs have gone viral worldwide, many foreign hopefuls still get cut at agency auditions for shaky fundamentals. Zeroing in on that gap, K-LAB has rolled out the same high-intensity foundation training system used by trainees at Korea’s major entertainment companies.

Notably, the program runs on the ModernK Academy training system, which has produced over 100 top-tier artists, including Mamamoo, EXO’s Chen, and Stray Kids’ Changbin. In dance, the focus goes far beyond memorizing choreography—participants receive 1:1, close-up corrections on razor-sharp angles, eye-line control, and K-pop’s signature tempo dynamics (bounce and core engagement).

Vocal training likewise crosses language barriers with professional sessions on Korean articulation, proper breathing, and vocal mechanics. On-site insiders say participants’ posture and gaze have sharpened to trainee level in just a few days.

One overseas participant shared, “In just 10 minutes, instructors pinpointed and fixed bad habits I never noticed while self-teaching on YouTube—it was a total wake-up call,” adding, “I’m learning firsthand every day the secret behind how K-pop artists became the best in the world.”

A K-LAB representative commented, “Global applicants come to Korea not to imitate the surface, but to learn the real DNA of K-pop that shook the global market,” adding, “This exclusive fundamentals training—distilled from know-how accumulated since our rookie-development days at major agencies like CUBE and RBW—will be our strongest weapon and the formula for passing future selections.”

After two weeks of exclusive training, participants will hit the ‘Integrated Audition’ AGP stage, where numerous reps from major Korean agencies will evaluate their progress. Live training highlights and future camp details are available on the official website (gcp.k-lab.me).
