Actor Kim Sung-cheol shared moments meant to comfort fans who are sad to see the show end.

On the 26th, his agency Story J Company released behind-the-scenes photos along with Kim Sung-cheol's thoughts on the final run of the musical DEATH NOTE

Through his agency, Kim said, "I spent quite a long time with DEATH NOTE. As the final performance approached, I remembered when I first prepared for DEATH NOTE. It feels like just yesterday that I was vaguely imagining how this stage would be filled and portrayed, and now I'm already facing the end of my third run with DEATH NOTE."

He continued, "Every time we performed, DEATH NOTE made my heart — and me — race like crazy. Every moment with L was happy and enjoyable. I truly love and thank the DEATH NOTE team, who have protected this stage with me for so long," expressing gratitude to his colleagues. He added, "Without the endless applause and cheers from the audience, this show would not have been complete," not forgetting to thank the fans as well.

Through this production, Kim Sung-cheol showed a striking synchronization with the original character. His sharp, relentless qualities heightened the tension with restrained acting, and his deepened projection and stable vocal technique earned recognition for both singing and acting.

Meanwhile, Kim Sung-cheol is active in Disney+'s original series The Brave of Gold Goldran and is currently filming KBS2's new drama Seulriping Dakteo.
