Shocking reunion: Actors Namgoong Min and Lee Seol are teaming up again after their previous project.
On the 27th, KBS confirmed its new weekend miniseries The Completion of Marriage and unveiled a cast lineup featuring Namgoong Min, Lee Seol, Kim Dae-myung, and Lee Sang-hee.
The Completion of Marriage is a tense crime thriller about a man who risks everything to save his wife—kidnapped right before their divorce is finalized—by going head-to-head with a brutal criminal.
Namgoong Min plays Kang Tae-joo, a neurosurgeon and the director of Uri Together Hospital. The day after he asks his wife for a divorce, she is abducted, forcing him to live as both a fugitive and a pursuer while fighting for his life. This marks Namgoong Min’s first KBS drama in seven years, and all eyes are on the fierce charisma and action he will bring to the role.
Lee Seol takes on the role of Go Se-yoon, Kang Tae-joo’s wife. Tormented by complicated feelings and conflict toward her husband, she becomes the center of the story after a mysterious abduction.
Kim Dae-myung transforms into Noh Man-hee, a chilling character that starkly contrasts his usual warm image, delivering a shocking turn as the villain who kidnaps Go Se-yoon. Lee Sang-hee plays Kim Kyung-ae, a mysterious figure who appears before Go Se-yoon, injecting unease and tension throughout the drama.
Most of all, fans are focused on the reunion of Namgoong Min and Lee Seol. After playing former lovers in last year’s SBS drama Our Movie, the duo returns as a couple on the verge of divorce—raising anticipation for the explosive chemistry they’ll showcase this time.
Meanwhile, The Completion of Marriage premieres on July 4 at 9:20 p.m. KST.
