As dating rumors between DAY6 drummer Dowoon and YouTuber Yoo Ji-yoo went viral, a comment allegedly left by Yoo’s mother has become a hot topic.
On the latest video of Yoo’s YouTube channel Jiyuropge, a user presumed to be her mother left a comment.
She wrote, "Jiyu, don’t even look at those nasty hate comments. Just ignore them, no matter what. Think only about yourself. You know what I mean, right?" The remark is being read as a response to the wave of malicious comments spreading after the dating rumors involving Yoo Ji-yoo and Dowoon.
Previously, the pair were swept up in dating rumors across online communities and social media. Some even claimed the two met a wedding planner for a consultation, escalating the buzz into outright marriage rumors. Adding fuel to the fire, JYP Entertainment stated, "We have no comment."
As the situation intensified, Dowoon took to Instagram on the 28th of last month, writing, "Our team will never disappear. I’m not going anywhere, and don’t read negative posts," and added, "For the time being, if you see posts about me, ignore them. I’m sorry for making you hurt. Please wait a little."
Meanwhile, Yoo Ji-yoo is widely known as the younger sister of influencer Yoo Hye-ju from Ulzzang Generation.
