Actors Seo In-guk and former f(x) member Jung Soo-jung (stage name Krystal) are joining forces in a single project.
On the 2nd, the team behind tvN’s new drama Office Worker Who Sees Fate (hereafter 'OWWSF') announced the pair’s casting.
The series adapts a popular web novel of the same name and follows a protagonist with an extraordinary gift for seeing other people’s destinies who decides to live an ordinary life by becoming an office worker.
Seo In-guk will play Choi Young-hoon, showcasing his standout acting. Born with the fate of a shaman, he can read people’s fortunes (saju), but he dreams of a fresh start as an average employee at conglomerate Pilsan Trading. Inside the company, he uncovers hidden corruption and brutal power struggles, using his ability to crack cases wide open.
Jung Soo-jung takes on the role of Lim Yeon-hee, bringing an air of cool sophistication. As an heiress of a chaebol family, she fights against her destiny amid a fierce succession race and corporate infighting. Refusing to accept the path laid out for her, she teams up with Choi Young-hoon to carve out a new future.
As the casting news broke, reactions poured in: "This casting is insane," "If it sticks close to the original, it’s going to be so fun," "A fresh combo," and "The visuals are already delivering."
Meanwhile, 'OWWSF' is slated to air in the first half of 2027.
