Actors Kim Mu-yeol, Lee Sung-min, Jin Ki-joo, and Pyo Ji-hoon (P.O) vowed a cathartic, no-holds-barred ride that will break through viewers' frustrations.

On the 5th, Netflix held the production presentation for the original series Get Schooled. Director Hong Jong-chan, who led the project, joined cast members Kim Mu-yeol, Lee Sung-min, Jin Ki-joo, and Pyo Ji-hoon to delve into the series in depth.

Director Hong said, "We kept the original's exhilarating punch while adding more dimensionality and emotional depth to the characters," explaining his creative vision.

He also directly addressed the controversy over alleged racist and hateful expressions that surfaced before the webtoon original aired. "Our team approached the material with a rigorously refined perspective and worked intensely to craft a story that everyone can relate to and find comfort in," Hong said, expressing strong confidence in the work's quality and sincerity.

Kim Mu-yeol, who plays Na Hwa-jin, the no-nonsense inspector at the newly formed 'Teacher Rights Protection Bureau,' said, "I thought this was a project that could communicate heavy, complex social issues to the public in an accessible and gripping way," adding, "It packs in not just thrills and laughs, but genuine emotion—every genre pleasure, without holding back."

Lee Sung-min, who portrays Education Minister Choi Kang-seok, the founder of the Teacher Rights Protection Bureau, said, "Through the show's diverse episodes, I personally learned a lot. It made me realize anew how wide-ranging and deep the real issues in education can be," underscoring the series' weighty themes.

Jin Ki-joo, as Im Han-lim, a passionate agent and former Special Forces soldier, shared, "Reading the script, I felt deep emotion and satisfaction every time victims were protected and rescued. I knew I wanted to be part of this warm yet exhilarating project."

Pyo Ji-hoon, who plays the genius deputy director Bong Geun-dae, said, "I devoured the script without noticing the time fly by," adding, "Above all, it was such a joy and honor to work alongside senior actors I’ve long respected, like Lee Sung-min and Kim Mu-yeol."

The Netflix series Get Schooled follows the Teacher Rights Protection Bureau, established to defend teachers' authority in Korea after it was eroded by overstepping students, teachers, and parents. With a fast, satisfying, and witty takedown of rampant school problems, the show promises cathartic resolutions.

Meanwhile, all episodes of Get Schooled drop on Netflix today at 5 p.m. KST.
