Seo In-young, formerly of girl group Jewelry, is leaving her agency and gearing up for a fresh start as she prepares to remarry.
According to OSEN on the 7th, Seo In-young recently ended her exclusive contract with SW Entertainment. After her 2024 divorce, she teamed up with the agency to prepare a comeback, but she has now left the nest to go solo.
Seo In-young married a non-celebrity businessman in February 2023 but divorced the following year. Around the same time, she signed an exclusive contract with SW Entertainment, signaling her return as a singer.
However, after the divorce, she had little to no activity — until recently, when she began engaging with the public again. In March, she launched a YouTube channel where she candidly discussed her divorce, rumors, and daily life. The channel quickly gained subscribers and went viral.
Amid the renewed attention, Seo In-young is reportedly set to marry a businessman six years her senior in the second half of this year. The groom-to-be is said to be the co-CEO of content creative company NP, and the two became a couple after being introduced by a mutual acquaintance. The exact wedding date and venue have not yet been revealed.
Seo In-young previously talked on YouTube about her first meeting with her fiancé. She recalled, "The blind date was supposed to be the next day, but I asked if he could come that day. I thought if he couldn’t come, I shouldn’t meet him." She added, "But he walked in smiling and didn’t avoid eye contact. That was incredibly attractive," expressing her affection.
Debuting with Jewelry in 2002, Seo In-young earned love for hits like 'Super Star' and 'One More Time.' As a soloist, she made waves with 'Cinderella.' After marriage, divorce, and agency changes, all eyes are on what path Seo In-young will take as she remarries and goes independent.
