The drama starring Nam Joo-hyuk and Roh Yoon-seo is slowly pulling back the curtain ahead of its premiere.

On the 1st, Netflix's original series The East Palace unveiled its main poster and trailer simultaneously.

The East Palace follows Gucheon (played by Nam Joo-hyuk), who can freely move between the world of spirits, and court lady Saenggang (played by Roh Yoon-seo), who guards secrets buried deep within the palace, as they are summoned by the king (played by Cho Seung-woo) to uncover the truth behind a deadly curse.

The newly released main poster shows Gucheon and Saenggang forming a team under the king's command. As they carry out the king's secret mission, they move as one in a nerve-racking situation where a child's life is on the line. Their exploits, set against the 'world of spirits,' feel even more dramatic against a dark crimson backdrop.

The accompanying trailer builds chilling tension within the palace grounds. With a sinister voice declaring, "I will wipe out the king's bloodline," ominous incidents erupt inside the court. Summoned to the palace, Gucheon battles spirits with blade-dancing swordplay, and with Saenggang's help, their gripping journey to expose the palace's secrets unfolds.

Netizens reacted, saying, "The composition is hilarious," "This poster isn't it," "It has '90s vibes," "I can't wait," "It feels like Woochi: The Taoist Wizard," and "It looks poised to draw a bold new line in the occult genre."

The pulse-pounding fantasy mystery drama The East Palace, which straddles the world of spirits and reality to expose the hidden secrets of the court and a brutal curse, is set to premiere for global fans on Netflix on the 17th.
