Former APRIL member-turned-actress Na-eun Lee is making her stage debut in the hit play Closer, sparking buzz with a blockbuster cast and fresh transformation.
On the 13th, production company Red&Blue unveiled the casting lineup and main poster for its 2026 season of Closer.
The acclaimed masterpiece Closer follows four characters — Larry, Anna, Dan, and Alice — as their relationships become tangled in love and desire. It was also adapted into a 2004 film starring Natalie Portman and Jude Law, earning praise for its artistry.
In Korea, many top actors, including Geun-young Moon and Eom Ki-joon, have appeared in previous runs. The 2024 production drew huge acclaim, with Sang-yoon Lee and Seo-yeon Jin selling out every show. This season’s dazzling casting is already grabbing attention.
Man-seok Oh, Soo-bin Bae, and Woo-jin Hong will play Larry, depicting a man wavering between love and obsession. The role of Anna goes to Kang-hee Choi, Risa, and Hee-jin Jang — with Choi and Risa both taking on their first-ever theater roles. Dan will be portrayed by Jong-hyun Hong, Young-seok Kang, and Do-yoon Lee; notably, Hong is set for a bold new chapter with his own stage debut. As Alice, Seong-min Jeon, Ju-yeon So, and Na-eun Lee will showcase their distinct charms.
Na-eun Lee debuted with APRIL in 2015 and stepped into acting with the 2017 drama Modulove. She has since built her filmography with roles in Extraordinary You and The Defects.
Meanwhile, Closer will run from September 15 to December 6 at YES24 Stage, Hall 2.
