SBS variety show Running Man is celebrating its 800th episode with a promise of special laughs — and member Ji Ye-eun's now-public romance naturally took center stage.
At the end of the April 19 broadcast, a teaser for next week aired, showing the cast's playful reactions to the news that Ji Ye-eun is dating dancer Vata.
Marking the milestone "800th episode," the members thanked viewers. Yoo Jae-suk stirred the set by saying, "We have a big event for the 800th. Ye-eun's dating news just dropped."
Ji Ye-eun recently confirmed she's in a relationship with dancer Vata, drawing major attention. Both were born in 1994 and reportedly grew close through church before developing into a couple.
Yang Se-chan, who has had a cheeky on-air loveline with Ji throughout the show, burst into laughter with a flustered, "What are you talking about?" Ji shot back with a joking, "Oppa, I'm sorry," cracking everyone up.
The teasing continued during a pottery-making mission. Ji Seok-jin showed off a face-shaped piece with a heart and quipped, "Anyone can see Ye-eun is head over heels." Holding a piece with exaggerated lips, Yoo Jae-suk joked, "Se-chan pouting a mile over Ji Ye-eun's dating news," sparking another round of laughter.
Most of all, Ji Ye-eun stunned everyone with a confident one-liner: "Fortune favors the bold." Viewers are now eager to see how Ji, looking even more assured after confirming her relationship, will shine in the Running Man 800th-episode special. The episode airs on the 26th at 6:10 p.m.
