Actor Lee Jun-young is set for a shocking 180-degree pivot—from a rising soccer prospect to a rookie at a top conglomerate—after a soul-swap twist with chaebol chairman Kang Yong-ho (played by Son Hyun-joo) in JTBC’s new Sat–Sun drama The New Employee Chairman Kang, premiering May 30.

On the 23rd, the production team for JTBC’s new weekend series The New Employee Chairman Kang unveiled stills spotlighting Hwang Jun-hyeon (played by Lee Jun-young).

The photos capture Hwang straddling two completely different worlds—the pitch and the office. Grinning as he holds up a jersey emblazoned with his name and darting lightly across the field, he radiates the easy confidence and joy of a team ace. But in the next still, he’s seated in the unfamiliar office of the Choiseong Group, visibly tense as he gauges the mood—fueling curiosity about the whirlwind office life he’ll face while carrying the soul of Kang Yong-ho (Son Hyun-joo).

In the drama, Hwang Jun-hyeon is the league’s most promising prospect—an athlete tipped for an overseas transfer within two years thanks to ruthless self-discipline and grueling effort. As a core player admired by teammates and cheered on by his grandmother, he dreams of the Premier League. But an unexpected accident derails everything overnight. Then, in a twist no one saw coming, the soul of Kang Yong-ho—the powerful chairman of the Choiseong Group—enters his body, setting an unimaginable chain of events in motion.

Portraying the chaotic, second-chance life of Chairman Kang Yong-ho—who’s forced into an unwanted “Round 2” after the accident—The New Employee Chairman Kang premieres on May 30.
