Actors Koo Kyo-hwan and Go Youn-jung’s gripping performances are taking over living rooms, with viewers already calling it their “life drama.”

JTBC’s weekend K-Drama We Are All Trying Here (hereafter ‘Mojamussa’), which premiered on April 18, captured audiences completely in just two episodes.

Right after release, it rocketed to No. 1 on Netflix’s “Top 10 TV Shows in South Korea Today.” It also ranked No. 2 for TV-OTT drama buzz in the third week of April on Good Data Corporation’s FUNdex. In the cast buzz rankings, Koo Kyo-hwan placed No. 3 and Go Youn-jung No. 6, leaving a strong impression on the public.

At the heart of this early surge is writer Park Hae-young’s razor-sharp dialogue. Lines like “Why does my life have to please you?” and “If I say nothing, I feel like I don’t even exist—how am I supposed to stay quiet?” strike deep and resonate powerfully, pulling viewers into the story with raw authenticity.

The show’s explosive popularity isn’t just about a solid script. Koo Kyo-hwan and Go Youn-jung’s intensely layered performances anchor the narrative, embodying characters scarred by their inner wounds and elevating immersion with every scene.

‘Mojamussa,’ which portrays people fiercely battling their inner sense of worthlessness, airs on JTBC every Saturday at 10:40 p.m. and Sunday at 10:30 p.m. K-Drama fans can also stream it on Netflix.
