BLACKPINK member Jisoo has taken home the Rising Star honor at the Canneseries Awards.

On the 24th, at the 9th Cannes International Series Festival, she received the 'Madame Figaro Rising Star Award'.

The Cannes International Series Festival is a global television event that showcases drama and series from around the world, held annually in Cannes, France.

The 'Madame Figaro Rising Star Award' is presented to next-generation actors. Introducing Jisoo, Madame Figaro said, "Expanding her scope from singer to actor, Jisoo has already been recognized for a very promising acting career."

Previously, Jisoo was swept up in speculation surrounding her family's private life. Reports claimed that A, identified as the older brother of a famous idol, was arrested on the spot and investigated by police for allegedly molesting a female BJ, which led to speculation that the individual was Jisoo's older brother. On the 20th, through her legal representative, Jisoo drew a clear line: "We have lived apart for a long time, and my family has no legal ties with the company," adding that claims connecting her family to the company’s operations were also untrue.

Meanwhile, Jisoo recently starred in the Netflix series Boyfriend on Demand, working alongside Seo In-guk, Seo Kang-joon, Lee Soo-hyuk, Ong Seong-wu, and Lee Jae-wook.
