A case involving a man in his 30s, reported to be related to a well-known idol, has continued to draw attention as the investigation proceeds and online speculation expands.

The Gangnam Police Station in Seoul arrested the man after receiving a report from a female livestreamer and is currently investigating the case. According to reports, the woman met him at a restaurant in Gangnam-gu and later went to his residence, where she alleges that unwanted physical contact took place. The man’s side is said to have acknowledged physical contact while denying coercion. Police are reviewing whether additional charges may apply based on statements and surrounding circumstances.

As the case spread online, speculation emerged about whether the suspect was related to a specific idol. In response, BLACKPINK member Jisoo’s side stated, “The matter currently being raised has no relation to the artist or the company,” adding that many online claims are unverified or false.

Jisoo’s agency also denied rumors that family members were involved in operating the company, saying that it is managed independently. The agency further warned that if the artist’s name or image is linked to the case or false information is spread, it will pursue civil and criminal legal action.

As the investigation remains ongoing, further facts are expected to be determined through police procedures and legal review.

Meanwhile, Jisoo’s older sister, influencer Kim Ji-yoon, is scheduled to appear on the tvN fashion survival show ‘Kill It: Style Creator Great War.’
