Broadcast star and former announcer Jun Hyun Moo stunned the studio by revealing that the total amount he has shelled out for wedding gift money runs into the hundreds of millions of won — with a single highest payment of 5 million won — showcasing his jaw-dropping etiquette for life events.

On the April 26 episode of the KBS2 variety show Boss in the Mirror, viewers saw announcer Nam Hyun-jong preparing for his upcoming wedding. Senior announcer Eom Ji-in helped by touring wedding venues with him, and the conversation naturally shifted to the realities of wedding gift money in Korea.

Eom Ji-in joked, "Since our incomes aren’t that different, and I even introduced the venue, 50,000 won should be fine, right?" Comedian Park Myung-soo countered, "These days, the meal alone can cost 100,000 won. For someone like Eom Ji-in, you should at least give 300,000 won."

Jun Hyun Moo also weighed in on the workplace gifting culture. He said, "Among colleagues, people usually don’t give very large sums. If an unusually big amount comes in, they’ll think it was a mistake and sent to the wrong person," drawing nods.

The cast then revealed their personal record amounts. Comedian Kim Sook shocked everyone by saying, "For my closest friends — Lee Young-ja, Choi Hwa-jung, Park So-hyun, Song Eun-i, and Choi Kang-hee — I decided to give 10 million won each," before joking, "If they all get married at once, my entire net worth will vanish."

Jun Hyun Moo confessed, "The most I’ve ever given was 5 million won. I’ve given so many times that, if you add it all up, it’s in the hundreds of millions of won." The unexpected scale left the cast in disbelief.

His trademark wit continued. Jun quipped, "Some of it came back to me. In one case, it came back twice," hinting that he’d given again when a friend remarried, making everyone laugh. He added, "I give a little less for second marriages," bringing the house down.

Wrapping up, Jun said, "I’ll hold my wedding on the third Friday of May next year," before self-roasting: "But I don’t know where the bride is. Please help me find her," prompting another round of laughter.
