Actor Im Ji-yeon is set to showcase a dual role in the upcoming drama ‘Brave New World’.

On the 9th, SBS released character stills of Kang Dan-sim, portrayed by Im Ji-yeon.

The series follows rookie actress Shin Seori, who becomes possessed by the spirit of a Joseon-era villainess, and her entanglement with a modern chaebol figure.

Im Ji-yeon plays both Kang Dan-sim, a historical figure known for her rise from low status to Royal Consort Huibin, and Shin Seori, the contemporary character affected by her presence. The role highlights contrasting personalities shaped by different time periods.

The released stills depict Dan-sim in moments of crisis, including scenes where she resists punishment and maintains a determined expression, emphasizing her character’s resilience.

Viewers responded with interest, noting the intensity of her portrayal and anticipation for the drama.
