Police are continuing their investigation into a case involving a man in his 30s accused of indecent assault against a female livestreamer.
According to reports on April 17, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul is investigating both the suspect, identified as A, and an acquaintance, B, under the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes. The victim has filed complaints against both individuals.
The incident reportedly began during an online broadcast event where the victim offered a meal meeting as a prize. After meeting in person, the suspect allegedly took her to his residence, where she claims inappropriate physical contact occurred despite prior assurances.
During questioning, the suspect acknowledged contact but denied coercion.
Additional allegations have since emerged regarding the possible distribution of private photos and threats sent through a messaging account. Authorities are examining whether a third party was involved.
The victim reportedly contacted an acquaintance for help during the incident and later received medical treatment for psychological distress.
Police are continuing to investigate the sequence of events and will determine further legal action based on their findings.
